The first video I ever made - greek dressing

originally published May 8, 2020 - this is the first video I ever made for our farm. It’s still fun to go back and watch :)

So, I’ve really been wanting to make more videos… share a bit about our family, our farm, easy foods to make at home… maybe I was being ambitious. I’m definetly new when it comes to video making, and this experience didn’t help my confidence.

In this video, I attempt to show you how to make homemade salad dressing. This really is a great recipe and I was excited to share it with you. I set up my camera, gathered my recipe, ingredients and materials. I even pre-measured some ingredients into little bowls so it would look more professional and you wouldn’t have to watch me measure out each ingredient. The kids were all out of the room, playing quietly…. the timing was perfect. Kinda. You see, I forgot a spoon to scrape the mustard out of the bowl into the blender. I was prepared to just keep going, but Ryan was nearby and thought he should “help”. You’ll see.

Did you hear Gregory at the end of the video? He heard the blender and was coming down the stairs shouting “Smoothie! Smoothie!”. It’s hard to explain to a 2-year-old that blenders can be used for more than just making smoothies. :)

If you’d like to try your hand at this delicious homemade dressing, here is the recipe I used:
