Make the Most of the Greens Bar

The Greens Bar was inspired by my friend and fellow farmer, Matthew Insley. He had told me about a market in New York where a vendor sold salad greens in bulk for market patrons to make their own custom mix.

I love the idea of allowing people to customize their salad… get a little or get a lot. I also love giving market patrons the option of bringing their own bags. Salad greens can be finicky and really do better in bags or containers, but I hate buying in plastic clamshells when most people already have containers at home that could be used to store their salad.

Mom Tip: Having a busy Day? Need to grab and go? Pre-bagged greens available most days.

Earth-Saver Tip: Bring your own green bag or mesh bag for salad greens (transfer to airtight container when you get home).

Ultimate Salad Lover Tip: Create your own custom mix with a variety of colors, textures and flavors. Add herbs and microgreens for the ultimate salad experience.
